Greg Mitchell has authored more than a dozen books (see most of them here) and directed four recent PBS films. Subscribing to this newsletter is still FREE—so if you want to help fund, maybe purchase one of my books, thanks!
Lot to get to today, so let’s get going. First, Jon Stewart last night has fun with Trump and Epstein and especially with that email about Trump “blowing Bubba.”
Jimmy Kimmel is back and still rolling.
And this couldn’t happen to a better guy:
Larry Summers, ‘Ashamed’ Over Epstein Ties, Steps Back From Public Commitments
Then there’s this: Heather Cox Richardson relates this report. When a female Bloomberg reporter, Jennifer Jacobs, at a press gaggle aboard Air Force One on November 14 asked Trump if there was anything “incriminating” in the Epstein files, he pointed a finger in her face and said: “Quiet! Quiet, Piggy.”
Meanwhile, laughable right-wing news outlet One America News has fired “The Matt Gaetz Show” producer Vish Burra on Monday after he posted a cartoon that pictured Jews as scheming cockroaches he later labeled as “vermin.” Burra was terminated after network executives found his comments “highly offensive” and “antisemitic,” a source familiar with the matter told TheWrap.
Speaking of far-right creeps, Ben Shapiro has taken out (big money required) these billboards in Times Square to try to nab a Golden Globe nomination in a category I didn’t know existed: Podcast of the Year.
And from The Guardian this morning:
‘They have total impunity’: West Bank settler violence surges after Gaza ceasefire
UN logs 260 attacks in October alone, its highest monthly tally, as settlers attack farmers and burn olive trees.
On to happier things: New trailer for the start of next week’s updated “Beatles Anthology”:
You may be aware that singer Rosalia is the Next Big Thing (except she may already be The Big Thing), but you may have never heard her despite previous albums. But she has a new one widely-hailed and here she is on Jimmy Fallon’s show with “La Perla”:
But let us also dip into the distant past with John Fogerty on Colbert last night mining his “Green River” from a new “best of” release, he also sat with Stephen for an interview:
From Tunes to Toons

Daniel Boris:
Ann Telnaes
Nick Anderson:
Steve Brodner:
Rob Rogers:
