My latest film, “The Atomic Bowl: Football at Ground Zero—and Nuclear Peril Today” has been airing over PBS stations this past month and streaming for free (key links to watch now and more here). A companion book is now available, and you can read more or order here. The New Yorker magazine this week has a piece about me and my new PBS film, which you can read here. And subscribing to this newsletter is still somehow FREE.
Assembling our usual cartoons for Friday, I noted that would likely be more than Substack allows in one newsletter, so will offer a few tonight, especially since their “biting, often funny” intent matches the Colbert, Kimmel and etc. latenight humor when they go topical. As I write, Jon Stewart plans to host a special The Daily Show on a rare Thursday, and Colbert has added The New Yorker editor David Remnick to his guest list tonight, along with Jake Tapper.
So here ya go, for now.
First John Lennon in the studio demanding, “Gimme Some Truth.”
