My award-winning film “The Atomic Bowl” started streaming on PBS.org and PBS apps last month and via Vimeo (you can easily watch it via links here), plus it is airing over many PBS stations.
You can still subscribe to this newsletter for FREE.
And there is now a companion e-book for “The Atomic Bowl” with the same title, read more here or order. Thank you.
Preview of tonight’s “South Park”—still in D.C.
Continuing my tribute (see yesterday’s) to 50th anniversary of release of Bruce’s “Born to Run.”
Release arrived yesterday with above: In honor of the iconic “Born to Run” album's 50th anniversary, photographer Eric Meola and art director Dave Bett have partnered with the Community FoodBank of New Jersey to release a limited edition, hand-numbered lithograph poster offered at $75 each. All net proceeds will benefit CFBNJ as the organization also marks 50 years of addressing hunger in the Garden State. Go here.
Continuing alternate cut/outtakes (see yesterday also). “She’s the One”:
“Backstreets”
Early mix of “Jungleland” with more strings, little or no sax.
From Tunes to Toons
Ann Telnaes on the not so great dictator (more of a little tramp):
“But don’t save me in a woke way.”
Steve Brodner:

Nice alternative Bruce takes! Roy Bittan shines through!
Good music but heart breaking cartoon at the end.
