Cartoons Monday!
Plus: Altamont revisited, with Gram and the Stones, and another chance to go nuclear and Helen Mirren as rock goddess.
A few political cartoons to start the week, a (final?) screening of my award-winning film, plus this: the Library of Congress, of all places, ga-ga over obtaining home movie never seen before from the infamous Rolling Stones’ concert in Alamont, December, 1969. Includes the only good Altamont views of Gram Parsons and Burrito Brothers (they were only seen from the back in Gimme Shelter) and CSNY and Santana and much more.
Here’s the clip from Gimme Shelter with Gram audio but almost no video.
Film
Possibly the last screening of my film Atomic Cover-up for awhile—after its run in 15 film festivals since last March—starts Tuesday night, so catch it now if you are so moved. This was supposed to be a live, local premiere but now it is online—but with the benefit of being open to everyone in USA, with a live Zoom discussion on Wed., and available through Sunday. Here is link and write-up and tickets (and trailer):
