And away we go with this week’s potshots, but first, on this date in 1964, the Stones in their first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show with an exciting “Time Is On My Side” (Bill and Keith singing backup). As the story goes, a mini-riot caused Ed to vow this would be the last time— group would never appear again on the stage.
