Greg Mitchell is the author of a dozen books and now writer/director of award-winning films. He was the longtime executive editor of the legendary Crawdaddy. His newsletter remains FREE when you subscribe. His film “Atomic Cover-up” just debuted on PBS and you can watch here. And “Memorial Day Massacre: Workers Die, Film Buried" remains free on the PBS site. Both have companion books.
Let’s open on a lighter note with two amazing cover songs by bluegrass guitar genius (and singer/songwriter) Molly Tuttle. Check our her new Austin City Limits episode (with a rocking Margo Price to boot). Molly has gone quite public about her alopecia affliction, lending support to those with the same or similar conditions. Here she does the Stones’ “She’s a Rainbow,’ Neil Young’s “Helpless,” and the Airplane’s “White Rabbit,” plus a cover of Gram’s cover of “Streets of Baltimore.” Note: She was up for Best New Artist at the Grammys just last year. You can still subscribe to this newsletter—for free!
Then there’s here fun cover of one of my favorite Gram Parsons covers, “Streets of Baltimore” (need to turn up audio a bit).
Glad you started on a lighter note, cause those cartoons were to-the-point brutal....happy Monday (I guess).
