Sorry, again with little time today, what with my “Atomic Bowl” film film starting to stream via PBS over the weekend (you can now watch here), beginning to hit major stations (list to come), publication of the companion book, and doing interviews and responding to requests — and see major piece today at Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, whose writer asserts:
A haunting reminder of the threat of nuclear weapons. Initially suppressed by the US government, images and testimonials of the Atomic Bowl are worth revisiting today as the Trump admin hollows out nuclear expertise across the government….The story of the Atomic Bowl feels both surreal and familiar because sports and military propaganda are often linked.
But let’s get started with a live Neil Young from just two nights ago in Hyde Park, London, its title (from nearly 55 years ago) a little more haunting for me than when I first heard it back then, “Old Man.”
Also over the weekend, rising young star Sierra Ferrell covered Neil’s great “Unknown Legend” at a Harley show no less.

Steve Brodner imagines Trump whispering to old pal Epstein:

Thanks for the music pick me ups now I’m on to your movie
Love the Red America -Measles cartoon!! The Ike - Ice cartoon is so illustrative of the arc of the Repub’s for last 60+ years. Not a good look or direction for humanity -yet history says ICE & their electorate don’t care. IKE would care about democracy.
