Greene, who was elected in 2020, had positioned herself as a die-hard Trump supporter until a series of recent ruptures with the president, who recently unendorsed her.

I missed this from Kimmel on Thursday night, after the president called on ABC to fire the late-night host (again).

“You’ve done this before. You tried to get me fired in September, it didn’t work, Mr. President. How about this: I’ll go when you go, okay? We’ll be a team. Let’s ride off into the sunset together like Butch Cassidy and the Suntan Kid.

“Until then, if I may borrow a phrase from you: quiet, piggy.”

Finally: A new documentary featuring senior members of the government claims that the U.S. is hiding what it knows about U.F.O.s. The filmmaker screened it for House members this week.

I’d forgotten about this until I came upon it again after watching the new Linklater flick on Godard’s “Breathless.” This happened 57 years ago this week: Godard (you see him briefly in a window near beginning) filming the Jefferson Airplane playing illegally on roof of Manhattan building. Note: This was a year before the Beatles famous “Let It Be” performance.

Speaking of Beatles, a few more songs from their upcoming “Anthology 4” (series debuts over Thanksgiving). First, amazing instrumental only overdubs for “I Am the Walrus,” with strings and brass.

Nice “take #9” for “Here Comes the Sun” with George’s vocals really up front.

And nearly pure instrumental track for “Nowhere Man.”
