Taking a break for some music, Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings did an NPR Tiny Desk concert yesterday with four choice songs.
“The Bear” seems to get worse with every episode and during the interminable “Wedding” offering, as a dozen songs rolled out on the soundtrack, I noted that they haven’t used a Springsteen cut since Jeremy got the role of The Boss in the upcoming bio-pic. So, of course, the episode closed with one of its longer musical excerpts ever, Emmylou from 35 years back doing Bruce’s great “Tougher Than the Rest.”
