Cartoons Tuesday and Colbert!
Is Pete Hegseth drinking again? Colbert on Trump and Kennedy Center. And much more.
Greg Mitchell is the author of more than a dozen books and now writer/director of three award-winning films aired via PBS, including “Atomic Cover-up” and “Memorial Day Massacre.” Now watch trailer for acclaimed 2025 film “The Atomic Bowl.” Before all that, he was a longtime editor of the legendary Crawdaddy. Just back from vacation so no musical finds today. But here is last night’s Colbert monologue which is largely about the famous comedians/hosts who led tribute to Conan O’Brien this past weekend as he picked up the annual Mark Twain prize at….the Kennedy Center. They all roasted new Kennedy Center idiot boss Trump and I may have more on that tomorrow.
Next, one of the horror stories of the year—but, to me, not so shocking, given the perps—as Hamdan Ballal, co-director of Oscar-winning “No Other Land” doc, was savagely beaten by Israeli settlers then arrested yesterday. A commentary:
For Pete’s Sake
Steve Brodner:
Barry Blitt:
I’m glad you found the toon about the Palestinian producer who was arrested and abused by Israel. I only read one report about it. Cartoonists are excellent reporters of truth so often.
We don't stay up late enough for Colbert, so we will watch it on demand tonight. Great selection of cartoons.
