Every poll shows support for Israel fading in the USA, today from NY Times:
Nearly two years into the war in Gaza, American support for Israel has undergone a seismic reversal, with large shares of voters expressing starkly negative views about the Israeli government’s management of the conflict, a new poll from The New York Times and Siena University found.
Disapproval of the war appears to have prompted a striking reassessment by American voters of their broader sympathies in the decades-old conflict in the region, with slightly more voters siding with Palestinians over Israelis for the first time since The Times began asking voters about their sympathies in 1998.
It’s true that the burning and shooting up of the Mormon church in Michigan was likely caused mainly by the killer’s hatred of Mormonism but his right-wing MAGA background will get far less attention than it would if he was a lefty, especially from the “all mass violence caused by liberals” crowd. NY Times today:
Friends said Mr. Sanford was a right-wing Republican, but law enforcement officials and people who knew him said they saw no indication that the attack was politically motivated.
“This isn’t a MAGA event,” said Francis Tersigni, who also considered Mr. Sanford a close friend. “This isn’t political.”
Another great cut just out from upcoming Mavis Staples lp, enjoy:
My man Glen Hansard joined Eddie Vedder over the weekend for a rendition of the fine Eddie song from the movie “The Wild.”
It’s a mystery to me
We have a greed, with which we have agreed
You think you have to want more than you need
Until you have it all, you won’t be free
Society, you’re a crazy breed
I hope you’re not lonely without me
Finally, was happy to hear the great J.J. Cale with his song “Sensitive Kind” opening the new Ethan Hawke series “The Lowdown” and provide title for first ep. Love cameraman focusing on Leon Russell, who seems to have nodded off.

Great stuff as always. The donkey in the back seat reminds me of the line in the Watergate trials I think by Dirksen (?): “So what you are telling me is you get pulled over for stealing a car and when the sheriff gets up to the window, all three of you are sitting in the back seat.”
More great music and cartoons.
