Plus Neil Young ends Spotify boycott as we return to one of his pointed oldies.
Greg Mitchell is the author of more than a dozen books (see link) and now writer/director of three award-winning films aired via PBS, including “Atomic Cover-up” and “Memorial Day Massacre” which are still up at PBS.org. Before all that, he was a longtime editor of the legendary Crawdaddy. You can still subscribe to this newsletter for free.
A collection of this week’s timely ‘toons, but first, as Neil Young makes news by announcing his songs with return to Spotify: Recall that he pulled all his notes a couple of years back to protest Spotify carrying Joe Rogan. Now he observes that now Rogan also available elsewhere so he is ending his boycott. But lets go back decades when he protested other commercial uses of his songs, in “This Note’s For You,” with some nice acoustic guitar work. Enjoy, then subscribe, it’s still somehow free….This newsletter’s for you….
