Looks like the Leonard Cohen tribute is a reissue. Amazon and my local record store both have it originally coming out in October of 2022. But the more the merrier! Looks like a good one.
I always liked the one-off album that Dave Mason and Cass Elliott did together. It was released in March 1971. Maybe I’m an outlier here, since I’ve never heard any of the tracks on any of the SiriusXM oldies stations I’ve listened to. However, I never heard any of the pre-Fleetwood Mac Buckingham-Nicks album cuts either…until about 2 months ago. So maybe it’s a legal thing. I saw Dave Mason perform several times in a very small venue in New England. He was as good as he ever was, with a smoking guitar and band. It was at one of these concerts that I learned he’d co-founded a non-profit for vets called something like “Rock the Vet”.
yes, I recall the Cass album, which was fairly good, but came out of nowhere and returned there... earlier, calling his song "Feelin' Alright" did not help the trend for misusing all right and already....
Quite right about the album coming out of nowhere and returning to same. The only reason I ever heard the Cass album was because my summer BF used to play it while driving around in his bumble-bee yellow and black 1971 Plymouth Barracuda 440 convertible with the top down. Those were the days! Feelin’ Alright (Cocker cover) played non-stop in the college pub. I remember Mason saying at one of those concerts something like, “Here are two chords that have been very, very good to me” when introducing the song. Can’t help thinking about recent Trump supporter angst-ing when I hear the line “Boy, you sure took me for one big ride. And even now I sit and wonder why. Gotta stop believing in all your lies. Cuz there’s too much to do before I die.” Or something like that.
Love the LC and Dave Mason. Excellent selection of cartoons.
Alligators have u shaped snouts and crocodiles have v shaped ones so you have a gator.
Never smile at a crocodile, never think that you'd like to stop and chat awhile...
Dave Mason was not only a great guitarist but had great heart and soul that came through in his music.

Crocodile!
Thanks for the Dave Mason! That’s my buddy Mike Finnigan on keyboards on Only You Know and I know. He was a kind soul.

Photo looks like an American alligator, Alligator Mississippiensis.
Looks like I have new album to buy.
Great Tunes and great Toons today, as usual. Thanks! I wanted Sad and Deep as You to last longer.
