On the eve of the January 6 hearings, some political cartoon commentary below on that and other subjects. But first, a little taste of an upcoming release of Lou Reed (with John Cale) homemade demos, with several classic songs, from 1965, pre-VU. Then a little “preview” of the Thursday primetime hearings as a new miniseries call “The Insurrectionists,” from the Colbert show. And finally, my own hot tip: one of the best TV series of the century, Borgen, is back on Netflix after the passing of several years, and still very much worth your nearly eight hours of attention for the return of our favorite ex-PM of Denmark, now its Madame Foreign Secretary.
