No, Downey plays Strauss, the atomic honcho who torments him later on the security clearance issue. "Fat Man" did try to raise some important issues but critics did not approve. Also Newman capsized the film as his Groves overpowered the unknown who played Oppie. Wasn't quite like that in real life.

Nolan single-handedly ruined Dunkirk. I don't trust him to do a good job with this even if he were to respond positively to your comments. Gimme Altman (too late), Scorcese, Coppola, Walter Hill, Sam Fuller (too late), Tony Gilroy. Paul Greengrass, Curtis Hanson (too late), John Sturges (too late)-- heck, even Eastwood or Woody Allen. Nolan hasn't made a good movie since The Prestige. And is Robert Downey Jr. going to play the John Cusack part from Fat Man and Little Boy?
