Longtime subscribers may recall that I occasionally break up the routine of words/videos/cartoons here with a small gallery of my photos, around a single subject. I’ve presented, for example, Birds of Prey, so now, even narrower, the Great Egret, captured in the past month along the Hudson River and Piermont Pier, twelve miles north of New York City near my home. First, the usual political cartoon plus trailer for Phil Spector bio-series. Then, speaking of birds, a live song from the great Allison Russell back in her obscure Birds of Chicago days. Great photos Greg, thanks. Big wading birds are a personal favorite of mine. Back in the '80s I had a job working on the Berkeley side of the SF Bay. My work site was on the water, and I was often visited by Herons, Great White, and Blue, and cattle egrets.
