Greg Mitchell is the author of a dozen books, including “Hiroshima in America,” “Atomic Cover-up,” and the recent award-winning “The Beginning or the End: How Hollywood—and America—Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb.” His “Atomic Cover-up” just debuted on PBS and you can watch here. And “Memorial Day Massacre: Workers Die, Film Buried" remains free on the PBS site. Both have companion books, which you can easily find at Amazon.
Just a quickie here as wanted to get posted and out there what I consider the best 25-minute take on the current Israel-Hamas tragedy—by John Oliver on HBO two nights ago. Once again one has to wonder why latenight topical comedy is needed to balance weak mainstream media coverage and punditry. Just give it a watch (yes, there is a little humor sprinkled in). A few new cartoons below that. Please subscribe if you have not, or share.
Every week John Oliver takes a "deep dive" into a subject other media would barely touch. This past Sunday's episode was far from a "deep dive" (and he even admitted it in his preface) but he still does what he always does to me. Makes me sit up take notice and try to learn more.
Also, thanks for continuing to provide the cartoons...so much (of everything), in one frame.
Brilliant!
Thank you such much for this!
(with tears in my eyes)
