If interested in "Oppenheimer," the man, the movie, The Bomb.
Note to anyone surfing in here from Democracy Now! or other sites: When I launched my new Substack spinoff last week, I revealed that I was doing this separate project to reduce the amount of Oppenheimer and Atom Bomb material you might see here in the “main” newsletter, as some might have fairly minor interest in that. I provided a link to the new newsletter and indeed a good number of you did subscribe, for free, thank you very much. And you must click and subscribe over there and not here if you mainly want Oppenheimer/Bomb. As I wrote, you can do that without worrying about another newsletter clogging your email box long term, as I expect the new one to expire within another month.
Anyway: I did cross-post one edition of the Oppenheimer newsletter here over the weekend and, dang, it proved enormously popular. So maybe you do love the idea. Unfortunately, I did not include even a mention of the new newsletter with it, nor a link. So: one more time, here is the link to Oppenheimer: From Hiroshima to Hollywood bloggy newsletter—the man, the movie, The Bomb—which already includes a lot of my notes after seeing the Nolan movie last weekend, and I hope you will join me (us) there….and/or check out my very related book here.
Your movie Atomic Cover-Up is WAY too important not to share NOW. Humanity must change its understanding of nuclear weapons or perish.
Don't make the same mistake Michael Moore made with Fahrenheit 9/11, which was out in plenty of time to stop Bush from winning a second term. But he made it too hard to watch: expensive DVD or go to a theater and spend a fortune. It was funny and the facts were tight and presented in the most compelling way. But Bush won and America was broken forever.
I wish I had a link to share this movie with my million readers on Quora. Why not Amazon for $3.99? NOW?
