Josh Marshall of Talking Points Memo observed last night, “Remarkably JD Vance is barreling toward Palin territory. He may already be there. You can see people expect news about him to be weird or embarrassing. Hard to undo that once it takes hold, especially if you are super weird and embarrassing.” Others have speculated that Trump may even drop him from the ticket (which seems highly unlikely, but GOPers know after Biden quit that they may have a “mulligan” for such a move themselves).
