Greg Mitchell has authored more than a dozen books (see most of them here) and directed four recent PBS films, including the current “The Atomic Bowl.” Subscribing to this newsletter is still FREE—so if you want to help fund, maybe purchase one of those books, thanks.
I still cry 3 days later ( I’m behind in my reading). Her wife and child will never be whole again. Nor will her other children who I assume live with their father? Since they haven’t been mentioned. All 3 are so young but they will remember the awful people who lied and hopefully the many who send their love and prayers. Your photo is the peaceful antidote, thank you for sharing.
"The way I look at it, it makes me look better and will keep my loyal cult loyal. If I admit it was murder of a white woman with a kid, it will look as bad on me as all those people dying of Covid on a cruise ship did, and I can't have that."
Seeing Mohonk for a moment of peace after all the mayhem…
My body aches from the pain of all this, and the feeling of helplessness, that we’re just condemned to live in this lie they have set out. We know the truth but what can we do with it?!
No matter how many times you post versions of “Deportee,” I enjoy hearing it. Each rendition is performed with sincerity and touches me deeply. Please never hesitate to give us more as you can. Also, the photo is so beautiful.
I live in South Minneapolis. I was not at the scene of the murder, but I know someone who was. The poet Lynette Reina-Grandall reported:
“The woman who ICE agents murdered Wednesday in Minneapolis was also an outstanding poet. And I’m feeling an uncomfortable synchronicity that I was standing not too far away from her when she was shot.”
Local news is reporting live that protesters at Fort Snelling, the Federal complex currently serving as ICE headquarters, are being pushed back and tear gassed by agents.

Greg thanks for the beautiful rendition of your "Song of the Year", simply wonderful.
Also appreciate the picture...a peaceful moment captured that counters the awfulness happening in Minnesota.
Is there anybody out there?
