I am amazed that the Pete Seeger/Johnny Cash/June Carter video is still available. It alters my understanding of what the Carter family and Johnny Cash were all about.
I appreciated everything included in Tin Soldiers and Nitwits Coming, but most of all, hearing Ohio again, I was moved, not only by it's powerful lyrics, but also for all the great lead guitar work in this song. I'll share it with our talented local live music community, here in Middletown Ohio, Steeltown, and home of Lester's Rock and Roll Shop.
I was a senior in high school when it happened. Did I take my children, when they were old enough to understand, to Ohio to lay flowers at the site of this abomination? Damn right. As should all of us.
