Greg Mitchell is the author of more than a dozen books (see link) and now writer/director of three award-winning films aired via PBS, including “Atomic Cover-up” and “Memorial Day Massacre” which are still up at PBS.org. Before all that, he was a longtime editor of the legendary Crawdaddy. You can still subscribe to this newsletter for free.
Seems like a good time to “survey” the readership here before going on. For whatever reason, few subscriber use the handy Comment section and, according to stats, the number who choose to “open” any post doesn’t vary all that much day to day. So it’s hard to tell, except for a few exceptions, what really clicks with most people.
So I am asking you to “vote” or express some view on the regular material published here. Simply go to Comments or send email if you can do that. Here are the four main types of content, roughly speaking, plus see #5.
Mainly music videos/songs with a little text—around a theme, or a particular artist (or the passing of one), or event or new release. May include one Cartoon of the Day.
Mainly hot political cartoons. Usually includes one Song of the Day, maybe a movie trailer.

My own photographs around one theme or subject—this feature was just introduced recently and appears about every ten days. OR
The mix seems pretty damn fine right now.

So will close with a music, cartoon, and photo sampling! Thanks for playing.
From the great Ry Cooder’s most recent solo album, a request aimed at political fat cats, “You Must Unload.”
