EW: Nikki. Haven't read the full article yet, but I think Nikki is very clever, as usual. She knows T lives on borrowed time, but her Q/T enthralled base has many Novembers ahead. I think if Republicans were smart, they'd all take her stance because it is the least offensive to 45, but it elevates the decency of those in their base who may be saying the same words when they appear in court for participating in 1/6. They made mistakes and will face the consequences. The end.

I love the bearded guy reading How to Be a Senator for Dummies in the Danziger cartoon. Brilliant. I'm shocked that Carole King has not been in the HOF all these years, with or without her partner. She broke a barrier for women and has never stopped being a role model for women singers and songwriters. Tapestry was the soundtrack of women's lives in the 70s, and still has a special place in our hearts. I mentioned in an earlier comment that my ex was a music critic for the Evening Star in DC. In his review of her DC performance during her first solo tour (promoting Taperstry) he said, in essence, her band was top notch but she shouldn't quit her day job. That review had nothing to do with my decision to leave (but maybe it should have). However I did leave and he died in 2003. I'm glad to see Carole King got the last laugh.
