The Quarrymen do justice to Buddy's "That'll Be the Day". John's vocal is strong and love George's guitar solo.

"Love Sick"--great performance by Bob, the band and Soy Bomb. Didn't realize Bob plays lead guitar along w/ Larry Campbell during the song's break. Fantastic!

yeah, always shocked by the lead guitar here...for me Bob has never matched that album since

Greg, I would argue MODERN TIMES (2006) stands up w/ "Thunder on the Mountain", "When the Deal Goes Down" (perhaps the greatest song written about death and being there with a loved one for the "big moment"), "Working Man Blues #2", and "Nettie Moore".

I'm very familiar with that clip of Dylan on the Steve Allen show. I did a conference presentation on 'Hattie Carroll' in 2019, and I sometimes use it in my journalism classes since it's structured like a news story. First verse answers most of the five W and H questions; other verses follow inverted pyramid (although the lead is buried at the end, and he embellishes several details of the story).
