Hello Greg, or any techies who see this.

By [in]apparent coincidence (?) this has just appeared on my phone, as a top suggestion...when I had been playing this very piece a few hours ago.

Yesterday a friend and I had performed the 4th movement in a public concert. So that's what I'd been practicing most recently and why today I was playing mostly this 2nd movement (less so the 3rd and 4th) in prep for another concert. Also today, I received and downloaded on this phone the recording of yesterday's 4th movement performance (sent from iphone, this is Android) via email, which I downloaded. But I'm sure the piece was not named, and it was NOT the 2nd mvt. I hadn't played it in maybe a month till I was rehearsing it a mere few hours ago.

This is driving me crazy.

Of all the many substacks to suggest...? The AI algorithms in my phone that appear to have been listening to me and reading my emails sending out yesterday's Program are creeping me out.

Can anyone explain -- in a non-spooky way -- how this happens?

Pure coincidence?

FWIW, I've watched several Andras Schiff Master Classes on YouTube, but not in a long time and never for this piece. I HAVE watched on YT how several other musicians have recorded it, but not today. I WAS in the Substack universe today, having migrated very circuitously through multiple political sites, nothing related to music (originally from TBR) and have never been on a Substack related to music before.

???

BTW, no problem with this duo, they did a fine job [who are they?], but my current favorite performances that I recommend, if anyone's interested, are an old one of David Oistrakh and Lev Oberin and a more modern one by Itzhak Perlman and Vladimir Ashkenazy that might have the edge. Joshua Bell and Emanuel Ax is up there, too, a close 3rd IMHO. Three different vintages and recording techniques, but I think balance least good on the last. It's ok to disagree!

A prize (TBD - can't rule out my eternal thanks) for whoever can tell me whether AI brought me here due to my phone mic hearing what I was playing vs seeing an attachment in my ancient non-browser-related email app...or recognizing what was in an unlabelled video I downloaded...or something else.

I was ready to go to sleep when that happened...now, fat chance!

Thanks!

No, this is NOT normal...but it is also MY "new normal", and, I think, applies to many others...if that's any comfort.
