She was not someone whose songs resonated with me contemporaneously but as someone a bit wiser about life in retrospect, thank you for this. A haunting voice, and commentator on her sense of present I appreciate her honesty and willingness to share it in her remarkable songs.

I know that I’m in the minority, but Hissing of Summer Lawns is my favorite album of hers and one of favorite albums period. I find almost every song evocative and it has a lyrical maturity that I constantly marvel at. By the way, the guitarist Duke Levine does a beautiful instrumental version of Don’t Interrupt the Sorrow.
