Nicky Hopkins. If I ever knew about him I’ve forgotten. But I enjoyed the music I didn’t study it as you’ve done. So sad he died so young. Now when I hear “She’s a Rainbow” I’ll picture him.
Just as important as the news, we need joy. And I very much appreciate the art that you offer. Music soothes the soul and brings back wonderful memories with Nikki Hopkins, and the Who, the Rolling Stones and more. And the cartoons are so spot on! Thank you. I look forward to your Substack every day.
I look forward to your posts every day. I love music. Fun fact: When I was an incoming freshman at Awalt High School in Mountain View, CA in September 1966 the Grateful Dead played the welcome back to school concert in our high school gym. It changed me forever. Your posts open doors into aspects of the music I love that I never realized were there. Today it was Nicky Hopkins. 🙏
Thank you for another surprise about a memory
which is?

I have a step son who is a trump true believer and an independent trucker. I’m trying to feel sorry for him but I just can’t quite reach that far.
Thank you!
